Keith Prowse announces acclaimed Michelin Star MasterChef Marcus Wareing at Rosewater Pavilion

● Rosewater Pavilion is one of Keith Prowse’s award-winning, premium+ official hospitality experiences within the Grounds at The Championships, Wimbledon offering private tables for 2-12 guests, relaxed informal lounges and private areas. Keith Prowse is Wimbledon’s exclusive official hospitality partner.

● This guest residency experience will be curated and delivered by Marcus Wareing, one of the most respected and acclaimed chefs and restaurateurs in Britain – a MasterChef Judge and Chef Patron of the Michelin-starred “Marcus”, set within the five-star The Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge, West London.

● Wimbledon 2023 will be a week later than it’s typical place within the calendar, from 3 July – 16 July. Marcus Wareing’s guest residency will commence on Thursday 13 July until Sunday 16 July when the tournament concludes, following the Gentlemen’s Singles Final.


Thursday 30th March 2023, London - Leading U.K. hospitality provider Keith Prowse is pleased to announce celebrated British, Michelin Star Chef Marcus Wareing at the Rosewater Pavilion to both toast and conclude the final four days of Wimbledon 2023.

Marcus will bring a modern menu concept to the award-winning, premium+ official hospitality experience within the Grounds, celebrating Finals Weekend and the conclusion of the 2023 edition of the world’s oldest tennis tournament.


Rosewater Pavilion

Set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens accentuated by subtle floral touchpoints, this British inspired experience personifies the theme of grass-court tennis in an English garden, all making for a truly unforgettable experience which guests have described as “of the highest standard in presentation and quality.”

Located within the All England Lawn Tennis Club Grounds, Rosewater Pavilion also offers a stunning outdoor terrace with views towards Centre Court.

Marcus Wareing’s contribution to British food and the next generation of cookery talent has made him one of the most respected and acclaimed chefs and restaurateurs in Britain. His awards include a Michelin Star, Tatler Restaurateur of the Year, GQ Chef of the Year, the Chef award at the Cateys and an Acorn Award. Originally from Southport, Merseyside, the son of a fruit and vegetable merchant, Marcus began his career aged 18. He received his first Michelin Star at just 26 – one of only a handful of chefs to be recognised at this age. Over the last 35 years Marcus has been involved in the creation of some of London’s most celebrated restaurants. Founded in 2008 with his wife Jane Wareing, Marcus Wareing Restaurants began with the opening of the Michelin-starred Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley (now known simply as “Marcus”). In 2011, he also opened The Gilbert Scott, an elegant British restaurant and bar in St Pancras Renaissance Hotel. After a successful ten year lease, he closed the Gilbert Scott in May 2021. In the autumn of 2014 Marcus joined the television series MasterChef: The Professionals (U.K.), where he continues to act as judge and mentor to the next generation of British cookery talent. In February 2022, Marcus Wareing’s Tales from a Kitchen Garden debuted on BBC2. The ten-part series sees Marcus dive into the world of farming and growing, meeting the farmers, gardeners and growers that produce some of the U.K.’s finest ingredients. Marcus is the author of nine cookbooks, including Marcus Everyday, New Classics, Marcus at Home and his latest release – Marcus’ Kitchen. In 2021, Marcus announced his partnership with leading foodservice and support services company, Compass Group. ‘Forward with Marcus Wareing’ is a cutting-edge culinary training programme designed to build skills, grow knowledge and expand imagination, with candidates exploring every aspect of the modern kitchen, from culture to commerce, question assumptions and challenge conventions.
