England Rugby Hospitality has collaborated with virtual reality specialists Igloo, to introduce clients and fans to the new hospitality packages launching at Twickenham Stadium.
The 360-degree projection dome is designed to showcase the hospitality experiences that will be implemented at the stadium in Autumn 2018, offering an immersive shared virtual reality experience right next door to the stadium itself.
Each VR experience includes a tour of the premium and diverse hospitality packages, including 'The Gate', 'The Lock', 'East Wing' and the 'Rose Garden'. The East Stand development will create an additional 11,600 sq.m of space over six levels, and the new hospitality areas will celebrate the unique aspects of the home of England Rugby.
Enabling access to the new hospitality areas prior to their completion allows prospective clients to view the packages and interact with the facilities in real time.
The launch of England Rugby Hospitality has seen Keith Prowse, the RFU's long-standing official hospitality partner, become exclusive sales agent for England Rugby Hospitality.
Ansell Henry, Sales Director at England Rugby Hospitality, said: "We've got a brand-new facility that's still being built, so the Igloo allows us to bring the brand to life. We can welcome clients to the dome to see the facilities in action and visually demonstrate what the products can achieve for them."
Nick Gratwick, Head of Events at Keith Prowse, added: "The team at Igloo have been absolutely fantastic to work with. The shared virtual reality experience allows us to maintain full interaction with the clients throughout and see their interaction with the content first hand. The feedback we've had so far has been absolutely phenomenal and we've got so many ideas about how we can utilise the Igloo - we are very excited about the journey we're going on."
