How do I get to Devonshire Park?

The Lexus Eastbourne Open (formerly Rothesay) is held at Devonshire Park, which is a 15 minute walk from Eastbourne railway station (0.8 miles), and a 10 minute walk from Eastbourne town centre. The venue address is as below:

There are multiple designated entrances into the grounds. Guests in Love Fifteen will need to through the Compton Street entrance. Guests in The Sky Lounge will need to enter via the Blackwater Road entrance. Please see below a map of the venue:

Here’s how you can get to the venue:

 

By train

Eastbourne is well connected to London and the Southeast via the Southern Rail service. It is approximately 90 minutes from London Victoria Station – via London Gatwick Airport, and 75 minutes from Clapham Junction station. A regional service operates from Brighton (approximately 40 mins), Ashford International (approximately 1 hour) and Ore (approximately 35 mins) also. The train station doesn’t offer step free access however staff are on hand between 6am – 10pm to assist.

The walk from Eastbourne station to Devonshire Park is approximately 0.8 miles, however there are taxis located outside of Eastbourne station which cost approximately £6. There are no cash points at the venue but there is are ATMs located at Eastbourne station and along the walking route to Devonshire Park.

*Note*: We advise checking your route in advance on the National Rail website to ensure you leave plenty of time to travel.

By car

The main approach roads are the A22 from London, A259 from Hastings, and A27 from Brighton. Car parking is available at the JCP Junction Road car park off Ashford Road and the NCP car park at Trinity Place. Saffrons Car Park (off Compton Place – BN21 1EA) will be a public car park with a charge per car, per day. If you require further parking locations, please go to Eastbourne Parking website.

Eastbourne now operates parking restrictions around the town, and the event cannot be held responsible for any fines incurred for illegally parked cars. Disabled car parking spaces are free and available with easy access to Gate 7. Please note that disabled parking is allocated on a first come, first served basis.

*Note*: During the week of the tournament, Eastbourne is a lot busier than normal, therefore parking availability may be extremely limited at times. We do recommend using public transport where possible.  

By bus

National Express services run direct from London Victoria Coach Station to Brighton. Brighton and Hove buses also operate Coaster buses between Eastbourne and Brighton. Stagecoach operate buses in and around Eastbourne, including services to Hastings and local towns such as Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield, Tunbridge Wells and Hastings. Please visit National Express, Coaster Buses and Stagecoach for more information and updates. The Meads scheduled bus service to Devonshire Park will also operate from the bus precinct close to Eastbourne railway station.

By air

London Gatwick Airport is approximately a 55 minute train journey away, with direct trains running between Gatwick and Eastbourne.
