Over the years, The Championships, Wimbledon has become a bucket list event for many. The first tournament was held in 1877 and it has since witnessed countless Champions and global tennis legends, and gained a loyal worldwide following.
The Championships, Wimbledon will return on Monday 3 July – Sunday 16 July 2023. The event has historically commenced in the last week of June but, following a schedule change by the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), the event will be held entirely within the month of July in 2023.

How to secure your tickets
There are a few ways you can secure your place at The Championships – from the American Express hospitality presale, hospitality general sale, the official ballot, the Queue, the ballot resale and ticket resale – but there is only one way to guarantee your place: with Keith Prowse’s official hospitality experiences, which are inclusive of Centre Court or No.1 Court tickets. The American Express exclusive sales window for The Championships 2023 launched on the day after the men’s final at 14:00 BST on 11 July 2022. During the presales window, Wimbledon hospitality experiences were available exclusively to American Express Cardmembers.
From 10am on 15 August 2022, hospitality experiences are available for general sale from Keith Prowse, Wimbledon’s exclusive hospitality partner, subject to availability. Many of these experiences sell out, so we recommend you book as soon as possible.
The Wimbledon Ballot usually opens in November with successful applicants usually notified in January 2023. Dates are still TBC by the AELTC.

- The queue is a celebration and great novelty – the public can line up for their place to get into the Wimbledon Grounds, with some starting to queue as early as 6pm to camp overnight
- It’s a great day out, whether you’re sitting on Murray Mound or watching the action from Centre Court
- When the rain pours down onto Centre Court, the retractable roof is quite an occasion
- The tournament is so famous that it is a bucket list event for tennis fans all over the world

- Spectators can watch matches as they walk round the Grounds on the outside courts with just a ground pass
