Royal Ascot is the crown jewel of the British Summer Social Calendar – knowing what to wear is just as important as the racing itself. It blends world-class racing, pageantry and a refined style for guests to fully encapsulate the Ascot experience. Step onto the tracks in style – whether you’re attending with friends, family, entertaining clients or just enjoying a one-off exclusive hospitality experience, here is your complete guide on what to wear to The Royal Ascot 2025.
Depending on the enclosure you’re attending, the guideline may differ just a little bit. Make a statement with Millinery, Bright Colours and Chic stylings. For Furlong Restaurant and Village Restaurant a very Feminine and fabulous look will add to the feminine vibe. Hats are more than an accessory – they’re essential. Keep your dresses and skirts lightweight and elegant for a more comfortable but true-to-your-personality. And for a more relaxed and slightly informal day look for the Lawn Club and The Gallery Restaurant, with a day full of walking and standing, we suggest opting for ‘polished comfort’ by pairing block heels or sleek flats with a stylish dress/skirt of modest length. Elevate your look with a hat to steal the show and a light summer jacket for if the weather isn’t as warm as your floral colours.
While adhering the dress code for the day – style and sophistication is encouraged to add flair to the specialness of the day.
Tailoring is everything – whether you’re enjoying the racing from the more formal area in Furlong Restaurant/ Village Restaurant or taking in the tracks from the Lawn Club and The Gallery Restaurant, a well fitted suit speaks volumes!
In the Queen Anne Enclosure, a two- or three-piece full-length suit with the jacket and trousers matching material and colour, a Collared shirt, a neck tie is a must and socks must be worn, covering the ankle and to top off your look and a pair of sunnies!
For the Village Enclosure you can opt for more relaxed style with a suit jacket or blazer paired with a full-length trouser or chino, collared shirt, a necktie/bow tie or cravat and socks
