First held in 1877, Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and the third Grand Slam of the tennis calendar. Renowned for its rich heritage, immaculate grass courts and iconic all-white dress code, The Championships continues to capture the imagination of players and fans from across the globe. For those who joined us at Wimbledon 2026, here's a look back at some of the hospitality experiences that made this year's Championships so special.

Treehouse

Relaxed, vibrant and full of personality, Treehouse perfectly blends a lively social atmosphere with premium hospitality. Guests enjoyed everything from our nostalgic sweet shop and resident DJ to the Charlotte Tilbury Glam Slam beauty experience, alongside exceptional dining created by a Michelin Star Chef. And yes - the famous slide returned, proving that Wimbledon hospitality can still surprise even the most seasoned guests.

The Lawn

Developed in partnership with the renowned Roux family, The Lawn continues to offer one of the most sought-after hospitality experiences at The Championships. Guests enjoyed an outstanding three-course à la carte menu as well as afternoon tea and a seafood platter, created by Emily and Michel Roux, accompanied by impeccable service throughout the day. New for Wimbledon 2026 was an exciting, updated drinks menu featuring refreshing seasonal cocktails, best enjoyed on The Lawn Terrace overlooking the beautifully landscaped surroundings. Our iconic foot stream also returned, offering guests the perfect opportunity to cool off between matches.

Le Gavroche at The Lawn

Bringing one of Britain's most celebrated restaurants to The Championships, Le Gavroche at The Lawn offered guests an extraordinary culinary experience. Carefully curated by Michel Roux, this exclusive restaurant captured the elegance, tradition and attention to detail synonymous with the original Le Gavroche, all within the unique setting of SW19. 

HerStory at Tennis

Returning for its second year, HerStory at Tennis continued to inspire guests with insightful conversations celebrating the women shaping the future of sport. Hosted by Chemmy Alcott, alongside guest speakers including Di Stewart, Freya Godfrey and Maya Le Tissier, the experience combined thought-provoking discussions with premium hospitality in an exclusive setting within The Lawn Private Dining. Unsurprisingly, the experience once again proved hugely popular, selling out for a second consecutive year.

Rosewater Pavilion

Stylish, contemporary and effortlessly elegant, the Rosewater Pavilion offers one of the finest Centre Court experiences available. Situated within the Wimbledon Grounds, guests enjoyed luxurious hospitality just moments from Centre Court. During the final four days of The Championships, Marcus Wareing curated an exceptional dining experience, while tennis legend Greg Rusedski shared stories and insights from his remarkable career and posed for photographs with guests in the front garden. Combined with premium Centre Court seats, the Rosewater Pavilion delivered a truly unforgettable Wimbledon hospitality experience.

Skyview Suites

Overlooking the iconic Wimbledon Grounds from Centre Court itself, our newly refurbished Skyview Suites continue to provide the ultimate private hospitality experience. Guests enjoyed private dining, dedicated waiter service, panoramic views across the grounds and a menu created by acclaimed chef Alex Kimber, delivering a Wimbledon experience worthy of royalty.

The Tennis that Captivated the World

Of course, no Wimbledon review would be complete without celebrating the extraordinary tennis that unfolded across the two unforgettable weeks.

The Championships, Wimbledon 2026 once again delivered everything fans love about Grand Slam tennis - breathtaking rallies, emotional victories, dramatic upsets and breakthrough performances. In the men's singles, Jannik Sinner successfully defended his Wimbledon crown, becoming back-to-back champion after another outstanding fortnight on the grass.

Throughout the tournament he demonstrated the composure, consistency and relentless ball-striking that have established him as one of the leading players in world tennis. Although several fan favourites, including Carlos Alcaraz and Britain's Jack Draper, were absent from this year's Championships, the tournament still produced no shortage of memorable moments.

One of the biggest stories belonged to British wildcard Arthur Fery. Ranked outside the world's elite at the start of the tournament (114th), Fery delighted home crowds with an astonishing run to the semi-finals, defeating 10th seed Flavio Cobolli in straight sets to reach the last four. While his dream run eventually came to an end, his performances captivated fans and marked an exciting breakthrough for England tennis, firmly establishing him as one of Britain's brightest prospects. The women's singles proved equally compelling.

Linda Nosková secured her maiden Wimbledon title with a series of composed performances, announcing herself on one of tennis' biggest stages. World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka suffered one of the tournament's biggest surprises, exiting before the second week after defeat to Naomi Osaka.

Osaka's impressive return to form was one of the standout stories of the Championships before her run was halted by Karolína Muchová in the quarter-finals. Nosková would eventually overcome Muchová on her way to lifting the Venus Rosewater Dish, completing a breakthrough fortnight that will be remembered as one of the defining stories of Wimbledon 2026.

As always, The Championships showcased exactly why Wimbledon remains the pinnacle of grass-court tennis. Established champions reinforced their status, rising stars announced themselves on the biggest stage and unforgettable moments unfolded on courts across The All England Lawn Tennis Club.

From thrilling Centre Court battles and breakthrough performances to unforgettable hospitality, exceptional dining and world-class service, The Championships 2026 was a celebration of everything that makes Wimbledon one of the world's greatest sporting events.
